Kinvara Skincare
Hey everybody, welcome back. This weeks post is about Kinvara Skincare; Absolute Cleansing Oil. I have used their products before and really loved them. I have been wanting to try the cleansing oil forever so I was very excited when the team over at Kinvara kindly sent it out to me!
For anybody who is unsure of what Kinvara are/is, they are an Irish skincare company based in Galway. It was created by an Irish woman called Dr.Joanne Reilly. Her philosophy is all about creating simple and natural skincare. She wants to share the message to each and every one of us to celebrate ourselves. I really loved this aspect of the skincare company, they really connected with me and I felt they wanted to improve my skin and not just sell me another skincare product. The fact that they only have a few products in their range shows you how simple your skincare routine can be, I am definitely up for this because I do not have loads of spare time every morning to be putting this and that on my face.
Back to the Cleansing Oil. The first thing that caught my attention when I received the cleanser was the ingredients. There was not one ingredient that they did not have in English beside it. I have never seen this before and loved that I knew what was going on my face. All the ingredients used to make this product I knew of, this was very reassuring that I was putting good stuff onto my skin. Some of the ingredients in this product include; watermelon, orange and thistle.
To use this product it is recommended to use it with a hot cloth. This is not something I would normally use so I was interested to see how my skin would feel afterwards. The instructions say to use 1-2 pumps of oil, personally I find 1 pump is more than enough and when I used 2 I felt I was wasting a lot of the product. You then warm the oil between your hands and gently massage it on to your face focusing especially on your problem areas. To remove the oil simply run a cloth under hot, steamy water and gently place on face to remove oil. Once the oil was removed I could instantly feel how clean my skin felt. My pores felt as if they had been emptied out and my skin was lovely and soft. I followed with moisturiser.
The next few weeks my skin did break out however this was just because all the gunk was brought up to the surface from the oil.
I usually use this at night time as I don't feel the need to cleanse that deeply in the mornings. My skin has honestly felt a lot better, it is definitely more hydrated without being oily. If you are on the lookout for a new cleanser I would definitely recommend you try this out. I was a bit skeptical about using an oil based cleanser as I do tend to have an oily t-zone but my pores look smaller every time I use this and I feel like it balances the oil out!
If you are interested in learning more about Kinvara you can check out their website which I will link below. You can also purchase the products here. The cleansing oil is available to purchase for €22.95 which is not bad and you get ages out of the little bottle. :)

I will most definitely keep using this in my skincare and I am looking forward to trying out the rest of the range!
